Dining & Nutrition
If you have any questions about care, our team is always happy to help.
Food & Dining at
Rose hill
At Rosehill Nursing Home, we believe good food is about more than nutrition, it’s about comfort, enjoyment, and feeling at home. Our meals are prepared in house by our dedicated chef, with care taken to make sure every dish is both nourishing and enjoyable.
Residents can choose to share mealtimes with others in a friendly, social setting, or enjoy their meals quietly in their own rooms if they prefer. All meals are freshly cooked each day, and we’re always happy to cater for individual dietary needs, choice based preferences, religious and cultural requirements.
We serve a hearty main meal at lunchtime and a lighter supper in the evening to make dining comfortable and easy to enjoy. Our menus change regularly on a four week cycle and offer a choice of meals every day, including familiar favourites, regional dishes, and lighter options.
We also love celebrating special occasions. Our chef bakes birthday cakes for residents and prepares themed meals for seasonal events and celebrations, whether it’s pancakes on Shrove Tuesday or traditional dishes for Burns Night.
To support residents’ health and well being, we keep a close eye on nutrition and weight, checking regularly and involving the GP if there are any concerns. This helps ensure everyone continues to receive the care and support they need.
Well being & Activities
At Rosehill Nursing Home, our wellbeing and activities programme is designed to support both physical and emotional health. We offer a range of engaging activities, from gentle exercise and arts and crafts to music sessions and social events, all tailored to individual interests. Our aim is to create a warm, friendly environment where residents feel active, connected and truly at home.

An expert approach
Your loved one’s preferences and any dietary needs are noted in their care plan and this is updated as they change. Many residents need to have a specialist diet, either for medical or religious, cultural reasons. Our chefs have the culinary expertise to produce nutritious and delicious options, whatever your loved one’s needs.
We offer a full range of soft food options for people who have dysphagia, or difficulty in swallowing. Everything is made with the same nutritional values but served in a soft, easy to eat form with the same visual appeal.
